GRIERSON COMMITS HIS FUTURE TO VICS

Whitletts Victoria FC are delighted to announced that manager George Grierson has signed a deal to commit his long term future to the Club Grierson has made an impact at the Club since taking over the managerial reigns in January with the Club going on a six match unbeaten run in the league that has thrust them into the promotion race with five league matches remaining.

Chairman John Dalton said he was delighted that Grierson has agreed to commit his long term future to the Club:
"You just can't imagine the impact that George has had on the Club since becoming manager. He has taken a talented squad of players who were underachieving and has given them the belief in their own ability. They have responded magnificently to his training and he has instilled a confidence in the players that was missing beforehand."
"His knowledge of the local football scene, not just juniors, is second to none and he has turned this group of players with a couple of additions into promotion challengers for a place in the Championship next season. That was unthinkable just a couple of months ago and now promotion is in our own hands."

Grierson said that he was delighted to sign the deal and looked forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
"The players deserve all the credit. Since I joined the Club they have bought into what we are trying to achieve and have responded magnificently."
"I believe there is great potential at Whitletts and there are some exciting projects that the committee are working on behind the scenes but there will be an awful lot of hard work that lies ahead."
"When we came here the immediate target was to achieve a promotion play off position and now that is in our own hands with five games remaining but we have not achieved our goals yet and the players and the coaching staff will continue to work tirelessly to achieve our goals and hopefully earn a place in the Championship next season."
