West Region Play Off (Second Leg)
Largs Thistle   4          Ashfield                      4
(aggregate 7-7) Largs won 4-2 on penalties

Largs Thistle secured promotion to the Super League last night at the expense of Ashfield after a pulsating play-off second leg tie that ended 7-7 on aggregate and was eventually settled 4-2 on penalties.
The Ayrshire side came from being three goals behind to go in front 4-3 only to lose an injury time penalty before regaining their composure to win the shoot-out.
The Glasgow side raced into a 3-0 goal lead with Paul Maxwell and Ally Martin amongst the goals, however Eddie Walton’s counter just before halftime gave Thistle a foothold.
Graham Muir’s fine strike brought them to within a goal on 53 minutes and Nicky Little quickly levelled the tie before Barri Stanton put Largs ahead midway through the second half.
Just as Thistle looked to have booked their place Mark Thomson netted an injury time penalty to tie the pulsating game at 4-4.
