Graham Potter Memorial Match this evening
Third Division Annan will play in a Memorial match for goalkeeper Graham Potter at Cumnock Junior’s Townhead Park tomorrow night. Potter, who kept goal for both clubs as well as Hamilton Accies, died in 2009 aged just 30.
Cumnock’s Gary McMennamin will play against his former Galabank colleagues with Annan boss Jim Chapman saying: “We are delighted to be sending along a side for this game.”
 
New Enclosure at Beechwood
Auchinleck Talbot have completed the building of a new Enclosure at their Beechwood Ground in time for the new season kicking off.
A club spokesperson said: “We would like to thank both the newly formed Beechwood Regeneration Committee (BRC), and the Centenary Committee for providing the Funds to complete the Building of the new Enclosure at Beechwood Park.
“The Club very much appreciate in particular the amount of work put in by the BRC to secure grant assistance, and see the project through to completion.”

 
Moore joins Ladeside
Striker Michael Moore, who started his career at Hamilton Accies back in 1998 and had 3 stops at Stranraer as well as donning the colours of St. Johnstone, Ayr United and Dumbarton has joined junior side Kilbirnie Ladeside.
The 32 year old, who finished his Stair Park career in the summer just 3 games short of 300 and after 94 goals, will be amongst familiar faces at the Ayrshire club.
Moore is a former team-mate of Ladeside’s management duo of Mark Crilly and Stephen Swift and the front-man said: “I am looking forward to a new challenge and I cannot wait for the season to start.”
 
McGregor swaps Dundee for Hurlford
Defender Neil McGregor, who played in the SPL last season for Dundee, has signed for junior side Hurlford United. The 28 year old, who hails from Ayrshire, started his career at Kilmarnock and he went on to play for Clyde and Dunfermline before joining the Dark Blues in the summer of 2011.
McGregor played in over 30 games for the Dens Park men before joining Ayr United on loan in February.
However despite interest from senior sides he has opted to continue his playing career at the Blair Park club who have just been promoted to the top flight in the West Region.
A spokesperson for Hurlford said: “We are delighted to have secured a player of Neil’s experience. We are sure he will be a great asset to us in the Premier League.”
