Donaldson joins Bo'ness

East Stirling midfielder Craig Donaldson has opted to convert his loan spell with Bo’ness Juniors into a permanent move after putting nearly 2 years of injury torment behind him.

The 24 year old re-joined the Shire last summer after a year out of the game when he had surgery on his ankle, however he only managed to pull a black and white shirt on for a couple of brief substitute appearances due to on-going problems.

The former Inverness Caledonian Thistle player returned to full training in December and stepped up his comeback by joining the East Region junior side for a 4 game loan period and he has now chosen to remain there.

Shire head coach John Coughlin said: “It is good news for Craig that he is playing again and we all wish him well at Bo’ness.”
