Malcolm Dunnachie

Auchinleck Talbot FC is saddened to learn of the death of Former President Malcolm Dunnachie.

Malcolm was a very well respected lifelong fan, hardly missing a game and serving on the committee for many years, holding the posititions of Treasurer and then President. He was also part of the unsung Committee heroes that kept Talbot afloat during the barren years from the mid fifties till the Knox era started in 1977. When Malcolm eventually retired from ATFC Committee duties he served on the Building Committee, arranged match reports for the Cumnock Chronicle and represented the Club at the SJFA Annual General Meetings. He was a stalwart, part of all things Talbot and will be fodly remembered by all associated with the Club.

Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.

Secretary

Hume to join Tranent

East Stirling defender or midfielder Craig Hume will leave the club this week to join Junior side Tranent after becoming frustrated at not playing enough football for the Third Division side.
Hume was signed during the summer from amateur football in Edinburgh and has played in 13 games, scoring once, however an agreement has been reached that will see the player transfer to Tranent.
Coughlin said, “Craig leaves with everyone’s best wishes, and I have thanked him for his contribution to the club. He was disappointed at not starting recently and there was no way I could make any guarantees to him, or any other player, about that.”
“We offered him the chance to go out on loan but he felt the best thing to do would be to move on.”
